Description
The Military Line version of the SemiTec I set combines an R2 TEC first stage, two TEC2 second stages (one on a long 1.93 m hose and one on a short 61 cm hose) and a 52 mm pressure gauge. The first stage is a balanced diaphragm design with a dry chamber that seals the working diaphragm and prevents freezing in cold water; this protection is also an advantage in heavily silted water. The rotating turret allows flexible hose routing, for example down each side of a wing. A fifth axial LP port can be fitted as an optional extra. The first and second stages have a DLC coating and low-visibility LVM marking.
The TEC2 second stage is a downstream demand valve with venturi and breathing resistance adjustment. A heat exchanger reduces the risk of icing in cold water, and a breathing resistance of about 1 J/l makes breathing easier and helps reduce air consumption. TecLine regulators are CE certified and tested to EN 250, and are also trialled in demanding conditions from icy Polish lakes to caves and tropical waters. After assembly and tuning, every regulator is checked by two independent technicians. Suitable for nitrox up to EAN40 (40% O2).
