Description
The R4 TEC first stage performs well both in laboratory tests and in real diving conditions. It is a balanced diaphragm design with a dry chamber that seals the working diaphragm and prevents freezing in cold water; this protection is also an advantage in heavily silted water. It is made of marine brass with a high-quality frosted chrome finish.
The first stage can be used with a standard BCD or a wing. It is also popular on stage tanks for technical diving, as the hoses can be stowed neatly along the tank and deployed to their full length when needed.
