Description
The R4 TEC2 regulator with an octopus and three-gauge console performs well both in laboratory tests and in real diving conditions. The R4 TEC first stage is a balanced diaphragm design with a dry chamber that seals the working diaphragm and prevents freezing in cold water; this protection is also an advantage in heavily silted water. It is made of marine brass with a high-quality frosted chrome finish. The regulator can be used with a standard BCD or a wing, and is also popular on stage tanks for technical diving.
The TEC2 second stage is a downstream demand valve with venturi and breathing resistance adjustment. A heat exchanger reduces the risk of icing in cold water, and a breathing resistance of about 1 J/l makes breathing easier and helps reduce air consumption. TecLine regulators are CE certified and tested to EN 250A, and are also trialled in demanding conditions from icy Polish lakes to caves and tropical waters. Suitable for nitrox up to EAN40 (40% O2).
