Description
The R2 TEC first stage performs well both in laboratory tests and in real diving conditions. It is a balanced diaphragm design with a dry chamber that seals the working diaphragm and prevents freezing in cold water; this protection is also an advantage in heavily silted water. It is made of marine brass with a high-quality frosted chrome finish.
The rotating turret allows flexible hose routing, for example down each side of a wing. The design is also popular on stage tanks for technical diving, as the hoses can be stowed neatly along the tank and deployed to their full length when needed. This version has a fifth axial LP port.
